We recommend starting on our Visit a Resident Portal so you automatically receive registration information to our Learning Platform here. From there, you will receive login information, get automatically enrolled in the course, and can start immediately.
The course features several timed topics which must run out prior to you being able to Mark Complete.
We know this is an extra burden to place on our visitors, but we believe it’s crucial to protect your loved ones in our communities. It also allows us to safely ensure visitors understand their obligations when visiting prior to their arrival.
However, the course and the topic should be easily completed within an hour, including the quiz. It is only meant to familiarize you with state of Florida guidelines, our policies and procedures, COVID-19 symptoms and prevention, social distancing, universal precautions, and infection control protocol.
Currently more than 300 visitors have successfully completed this course, with an independent completion rate (no assistance from Angels Senior Living) of around 96%. We think this is a pretty strong indicator of user-friendliness, but please let us know how we can improve!
You must Mark Complete each topic in a lesson, then Mark Complete that lesson. Then, you can move on to the next section. You may have to wait for time to elapse or watch a video before you do.
This course helps prepare our visitors to become Compassionate Caregivers under state of Florida guidelines on reopening long-term care facilities for visitation. Compassionate Caregiver designation means that even in the event of a general facility closure or recurrence of COVID-19, you will be able to enter and see your loved one.
Most likely, you have not allowed time to elapse before continuing. You may also have not watched a required video to completion. Timers appear in the top right and bottom of each page, and you can Mark Complete any lesson or topic from the same area on your screen.
Your certificate is most easily found on the Home Page after logging in by clicking the button resembling a certificate in the top left-hand corner. It can also be accessed from the course page itself, or once you finish the quiz at the end of the course.
